Prescribed burn planned in West Boundary

Some West Boundary residents might notice smoke from a controlled burn over the coming weeks.

Jordan Turner with the Southeast Fire Centre says it will cover 25 hectares and may be visible from Rock Creek.

Turner says in particular it should help deer, elk, and a red-listed woodpecker called the Williamson’s sapsucker.
