Trail’s feral cats: what can be done?

More needs to be done when addressing a feral cat dilemma in West Trail.

This from city councillor Lisa Pasin after it was pointed out this week the SPCA has removed 56 stray or abandoned cats from one neighborhood over the last year.

Council decided to amend their animal control by law last night that will now only allow residents to own three cats instead of six.

Pasin says it’s not a licensing issue but rather a containment and spay or neuter issue.

The BC SPCA has asked the RDKB to contribute 25% towards a proposed new $1.6  million dollar facility.
