Based on how dry it’s been the Grand Forks Fire Department is anticipating a busy summer when it comes to wildfires.
This from Deputy Chief Kevin McKinnon as the temperatures continue to rise in the forecast – expected to sit over 30 degrees in the next few days.
McKinnon points out the snowpack in the Boundary was only 60% Â of normal levels at the beginning of the month.
He adds however, the good news is there isn’t any flooding concern like last year.
