Seniors in the Slocan Valley are closer to finding out if there will be more affordable housing.
This after almost 630 residents aged fifty years and older responded to a needs survey put out by the Slocan Valley Seniors Housing Society.
Part of the results illustrated that 22% of respondents were planning a move in the next five years.
We asked Society President Rita Moir if that gave them enough time to build a facility?
Moir says the existing affordable housing in the area is always full with a wait list.
The society could potentially build three fourplexes worth over a million dollars.
