A diverse collection of speakers will address male students at J.L Crowe in Trail on Wednesday as part of their first Youth Empowerment Summit
Over 700 students from Grades 8 to 11 will be split into separate boy-girl workshops to discuss issues they face in an effort to create a better climate at school.
James Fike – who’s in Grade 10 – says he’s looking forward to hearing from former NBA player Lefty Williams about having a vision for your future and dreaming big.
Other topics of discussion for the boys will include healthy relationships with women, setting goals and drugs and alcohol.
A girls workshop is also on tap that features the internationally recognized leadership program FearlesslyGirl.
