Trail’s Mayor is disappointed about a decision regarding the City’s recreation fee bylaw.
City Council ultimately voted to up recreation fees to match inflation but there was first an effort by two Councillors to hold off on any increases for non-residents.
This while the City tries to reach recreation agreements with neighboring communities.
Mike Martin says reaching inter-municipal agreements would bring about so much harmony in the region.
Martin confirms Trail has already met Area B, the Beaver Valley and Rossland to negotiate shared recreation service agreements.
The City already struck a deal with the village of Warfield earlier this year.
