The City of Trail is going ahead with replacing the dilapidated roof on the aquatic centre.
Council budgetted $450,000 for the upgrade as the current roof has failed and is leaking.
Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation Robert Baker says work is expected to start in September.
Baker says the new roof should have a lifespan of 25 years.
The City will be using a different roofing material they believe will be safer and more reliable.
Construction should not effect the day to day operations of the facility.
