Small breakthrough in Trail-Rossland rec impasse

It appears hockey players from Rossland may catch a break.

The Trail Commercial Hockey League attracts players from all over the region.

But those who come from Rossland incur a so-called “tourist fee” with their sports passes.

City of Trail Parks and Recreation Director Trisha Davison says a grant approved by council could ease league fees for out-of-towners and help pave the way towards a wider new recreation deal.

The grant for the Trail Commercial League will kick in if a recreation funding agreement is negotiated between Rossland and Trail.
