Nelson armed robbery suspect yet to appear in court

The man facing multiple charges related to armed robbery in our area has still not appeared in court a month after one of his alleged offences.

This time the delay is because Andrew Stevenson’s lawyer is ill. Stevenson was injured and hospitalized after his arrest last month.

It’s not clear if the 33 year old will appear in Nelson court for his next date- June 10th – or if that will be via video link from the Kamloops Correctional Centre.

Stevenson and partner Krista Kalmikoff -who has been released on bail – are facing charges of armed robbery at the Currency Exchange April 11th and NDCU two weeks later.

They are also charged with break and enter at two Castlegar pharmacies.
