Teck is reporting a $29-million profit in the third quarter.
The mining and smelting giant says that’s compared to $159 million during the same period of last year.
Gross profits in Trail stood at $33 million, up from $28 million in the third quarter of 2014.
Zinc production was up 11 per cent over last year due to improved reliability of the new acid plants.
Lead production was down eight per cent because of the annual Kivcet shutdown.
