Nelson has finally lifted its water restrictions.
After one of the driest spring, summer and autumns in recent memory, a very wet end to the year has finally brought relief.
Public Works Director Colin Innes says the city received over 135mm of rain over the last month.
That’s more than July, August, September, and October combined.
But he asks residents to keep conserving water because we could be in for a drier than normal winter.
