The city of Castlegar may have to rent a snow plow truck.
That’s because one of their fleet – a newer $160,000 model – was hit by another vehicle and damaged .
Director of Civic Works Chris Barlow says it will be out of commission for the rest of the season.
They normally have a fleet of five front-line plow trucks and they run 24/7 after big snowfalls.
Barlow says they’ve been able to keep on top of things but he’s letting the public know that it may take a bit longer to get to some secondary routes.
