Nelson’s Touchstones Museum Of Art And History is close to securing a new home for its collections storage.
The old museum on Anderson Street, across from Hume School, has been used for that purpose since the new site opened in 2006.
Executive Director Leah Best says they need more space than they currently have.
But Best isn’t announcing the new site until everything is confirmed with the city, who help fund the museum.
She says the new storage location, unlike the Anderson Street site, will open to the public and so can generate some additional income.
