The cities of Nelson and Castlegar could collaborate on how they can keep their respective recreational assets financially viable.
This from Queen City Manager Kevin Cormack.
He suggests a formal agreement to share and plan resources as one recreation corridor is not out of the question.
Nelson faces tough questions over the affordability of its secondary ice surface at the Civic Centre.
And Castlegar faces the same issues with the likely demise of the Pioneer Arena.
Cormack says these formal conversations have yet to happen but the regional transit committee is a perfect example of how inter-city partnerships can work for all taxpayers.
