Warfield mayor hopes deal can trigger better future arrangements

The Mayor of Warfield is pleased a Recreation and Library services agreement has been made with the City of Trail but believes the work isn’t done.

The 18 month interim deal will see Warfield contribute $135,000.

Bert Crockett says hopefully after November new councils in the area will be able to bargain towards one system that benefits all residents in the Valley.

Warfield returned to the bargaining table last month after their decision to opt out of the shared services agreement last year.
