Avalanche warning extended

Avalanche Canada has extended its special warning for the Kootenay-Boundary through the weekend.

Supervisor James Floyer says a ridge of warm air is expected to remain with us for a few more days.

Floyer says their advice to backcountry skiers is to steer clear of large avalanche paths.

Also avoid travelling under any corniced ridges.
