Grand Forks RCMP are warning residents about phone scammers who are targeting the city.
An increased number of complaints have been coming into the local branch prompting the detachment to release a statement.
Here’s Sgt. Jim Fenske.
He says residents should never give out any personal information and the best thing to do if you receive one of these calls is to hang up.
If there are concerns that you may owe taxes the RCMP advises you to contact the Canadian Revenue agency directly.
