The 60 day clock is now ticking on possible closures in the Kootenay Lake School District.
After hours of discussion last night, but not open debate, the board voted on what’s formally known as consideration of up to six different school closures.
Chair Lenora Trenaman says nothing is written in stone as trustees are still in deliberation mode.
Trustees can not yet enter debate on specific closures because they must retain an open mind the next 60 days.
One school each in Nelson, the Slocan Valley, Creston ,Salmo, and Meadow Creek could close.
