A long-time Grand Forks resident says he has the experience and credentials to be a city councillor.
Retired engineering technician Ken Johnston is one of seven people running in this month’s by election for the vacant seat.
He has a lot of knowledge about infrastructure.
He was also City Administrator in 1979, then served on council for five years so he says he can help the many new councillors who have little understanding of how local government works.
Johnston has been involved in many initiatives like the GFI baseball, Fall Fair and homeless shelter.
Wednesday is Advance Voting Day at city hall until 8 pm.
General Voting day is May 28th.
