South Columbia search and rescue kept busy

A reminder from South Columbia Search and Rescue to be prepared when you head out.

This after a busy weekend for crews including being called for two searches Friday.

The first call at about 2:45 a.m. was for a 25-year-old man in the Salmo-Trail area. He was located around 6:45.

A few hours later crews were called to help in the search for Oscar bot who has been missing since Tuesday.

The search focused around the Bombi area but the man wasn’t found.

Search and rescue president Mike Hudson urges us to take proper precautions when heading out.

He adds search crews were busy across the province throughout the long weekend.
