Mount Sentinel holds belated grad ceremony

Mount Sentinel Secondary has quietly gone ahead with its graduation ceremony.

The invitation-only event took place last week after being postponed due to a “serious threat.”

Co-valedictorian Raya Mikkelson announced the class is making a donation to mental health.

Mikkelson says they acknowledged the events that led to the ceremony being delayed.

An 18-year-old student faces two charges of uttering threats and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

RCMP were present at the ceremony but there were no problems.
