Salmo tops school district capital plan

Adding on to Salmo secondary is now the No. 1 capital priority in the Kootenay Lake school district.

It would allow Salmo elementary to close.

Trustee Bob Wright believes there’s a lot of support for the move.

However the decision to put Salmo on top of the list came in a split vote.

Nelson trustee Curtis Bendig argued an addition to Blewett elementary should have been No. 1.
