A 42-year-old Cranbrook man was killed in Sunday’s motorcycle crash on Highway 31A, 17 km east of New Denver.
RCMP say the motorcyclist was westbound when he failed to negotiate a corner and cross the centreline into the past of an eastbound SUV.
The man was taken to Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson but died. The other driver wasn’t seriously injured.
An RCMP Traffic Services collision reconstructionist attended to the location and examined the scene.
The man’s name hasn’t been released.
The crash happened before 3:15 p.m. The road didn’t fully reopen until about 7 p.m.
