The new CEO of Nelson and District Credit Union hopes they’ve entered a new era of labour relations.
This after a four-year deal was ratified last week following the smoothest round of bargaining in 40 years.
Tom Murray says it’s a testament to the effort put in by both sides.
The contract includes a 7.4 per cent wage increase plus other improvements.
The union suggested Murray had a lot to do with the change in tone at the bargaining table.
But he’s not taking personal credit.
