A brief court appearance Tuesday by a local man accused of three counts of attempted murder.
Laurence Darren Charles McKay, 35, was arrested following an incident in August in Krestova.
Court heard the weapon allegedly involved was a sawed-off shotgun.
McKay appeared by video link from the Kamloops jail and asked that the charges against him be read.
They also include assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Police say a shot was fired outside a home after the occupants fled, but there were no injuries.
McKay’s next court date is Sept. 27.
