Terry Fox Run coming Sunday in Castlegar, Trail, Salmo

It’s the annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday to raise money for cancer research.

Six local communities are taking part including Castlegar, Trail, and Salmo.

Nelson organizer Pat Gibson says it’s been 36 years since Terry began his run across Canada.

In Castlegar, registration starts at 8 a.m. at the community complex and the run starts at 9.

There are 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km routes to choose from.

In Trail, registration is at 9 a.m. at Gyro Park. The starting line is Park Road.

There are 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km routes.

There is also a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.

There are 5 km and 10 km routes.
