The latest look at crime trends in Castlegar were presented to City Council this week. Corporal Brett Turner with the Castlegar RCMP says this year there are some upward trends including property crimes.
He says drug trafficking is also slightly up.
He says traffic enforcement specifically around cell phone usage continues to be a problem.
Corporal Turner adds Castlegar does have lower crime rates compared to other communities in the area.
