Castlegar Mayor Lawrence Chernoff has announced he will be seeking re-election this fall. He made the announcement this morning saying it wasn’t an easy decision.
He says he wants to continue to help build the community.
Mayor Chernoff has been in the position for 13 years. Councillors Deb McIntosh and Dan Rye are also considering a run for mayor.
The election is on October 20.
