Rossland FireSmart Wildfire Hazard Reduction Work

Rossland FireSmart Program will be performing wildfire hazard reduction work Thursday, June 13, in the area below the Monashee Place properties and above the City of Rossland Works Yard.

The works include piling and burning forest slash and branches.

Some smoke may be visible and may drift upslope into the condominium area.

Fire Department engines will be visible at the north end of the City Works Yard and at
the Monashee Place entrance road, while burn pile locations will be attended by fire crews with hose lays from engines and water tanks.

Please contact Don Mortimer – City of Rossland – FireSmart Program Coordinator with any questions, [email protected] or 250-231-9685.
