Trail city council will be keeping a close eye on the local Communities in Bloom branch and their 2015 budget.
This from councillor Carol Dobie after they allocated the beautification group $110,000 of taxpayers’ money. The group went $20,000 over budget last year.
The non-profit initiative had initially discussed asking for an increase to $150,000 for their efforts this year. However, Dobie says they advised against that before C-I-B made their budget presentation to council.
The $110,000 allocated this year is the same as they received in 2014.*
