This from Head Coach Terry Jones after his club finished a remarkable season by winning the Keystone Cup last weekend, their first ever Western Canada Junior B Championship. We asked Jones where this season will rank among his 17 behind the bench for B.V.
The Nitehawks won their 7th KIJHL championship this year as well as their third Cyclone Taylor Cup Junior B provincial championship. Goaltender Brett Clarke was named tournament MVP at the Keystone. The 19 year old says the run they went on this season is definitely the highlight of his young career but admits he is left with a bittersweet feeling now that it is all over.
The Nitehawks will hold a celebration at the Fruitvale arena 6:30 Thursday April 23rd.
