Having rejected costly upgrades to their community centre, Riondel residents may now consider demolishing it.
But East Shore regional director Garry Jackman says even that option won’t come cheap.
In a referendum last year residents turned down a proposal to borrow $1.2 million for upgrades.
Jackman says he’s asked regional district staff to look at what demolition would require.
The community centre is in a school that closed in 1972.
