The City of Trail is spending $16,000 to determine if the community supports a skate park being built.
City council wants a statistically valid understanding of residents thoughts before committing hundreds of thousands of dollars to its construction.
Parks and Recreation Director Trisha Davison says that is why they have hired a consultant to do the survey.
The consultants are purchasing access to Trail residents’ cell phone numbers.
Residents should expect a survey call by the end of June.
The idea of a skate park in the community has been over 20 years in the making.
