Castlegar residents should not worry about a van driving through the community taking pictures of their homes.
BC Assessment will be using innovative digital photo-capture technology to assess over 2,700 single family homes in the City during mid-July.
Deputy Assessor for the Kootenay Columbia region Rod Ravenstein says residents should not have any privacy concerns.
Ravenstein says the street images are used in conjunction with aerial shots.
He adds the van will only be in the community for a few days.
BC Assessment is doing this across the province and has already taken in the residential streets of Grand Forks.
