A multi-media live spectacle brings to life the sights and sounds of the Boomer generation

March 5 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm PST

Trail Arts Council presents “BOOM” on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:30 pm at The Bailey Theatre in Trail.

Recreating the sights and sounds of a transformative period in history, “BOOM” is a multi-media extravaganza filled with music and impersonations of well-known figures from the period 1945 to 1969.

Experience the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll, the vibrant counterculture of the 1960s, and the powerful moments of the civil rights movements all brought to life on stage. A daring mix of live music and visual effects this is a show full of emotion, storytelling and sensory experience.

An explosive solo performance, “BOOM” takes us from the first atomic bomb in 1945 all the way to the Apollo 11 landing on the moon in 1969, and gives voice to over a 100 influential politicians, activists and musicians. It’s a mind-blowing experience for audiences of all generations.

Rick Miller performs all the characters, and 25 moment-defining songs, in a stunningly staged production that blends cutting-edge multimedia, and tour-de-force storytelling. Experience the global events as they unfold: the Cold War, McCarthyism, Beatlemania, JFK, MLK, Vietnam… The various stories spiral into the “The Summer of Love’’, and BOOM ends as it began: with the birth of a new generation.

This can’t-miss theatrical experience is a must-see for all generations!
